About 18 miles on the bike. I almost gave up on the ride because for the life of me I couldn't click in. I went back home to get my five fingers on and just run but my husband made me give it another try. I clicked right in and had myself a wonderful time - almost hit a badger, but we both survived it.
Friday was the Father 'n Sons campout so I never managed to get my run in on Saturday. I was hoping to do a mother 'n daughter n' baby campout in our backyard just to show the boys we could have fun without 'em. But they took our tent. Boys!!
The run today felt good but my achilles was unusually tight compared to how it has been in the last week or so. It's almost like not running for two days made it worse. Weird.
It rained last night. Which I'm glad for because that means I don't have to water in our grass seed today. But goodness - humid. No need to take any water anywhere to drink, a few gulps of the air and you're set.
Another nice morning. I saw my shadow while I was running and it was interesting to see the scoot I do wearing five fingers. I've noticed it when I watch my husband coming in from his runs - that there isn't much knee pick-up. My running shadow looked like it was trying to get away with running in the halls of a church or something - a very sneaky looking run. Made me smile.
A nice Saturday morning run. I went a little later than usual. I will no longer take the coolness of the early morning for granted. If the Holy Ghost goes to bed at midnight, he must wake up at 7am because that is one of the most peaceful times I know.
The husband didn't have to leave for work until 7am this morning so I got off a little before 6:30 for a run. It was dark - like stars still twinkling dark and there aren't tons of street lights in my neighborhood to say the least. I have to say that I wondered this morning if coyotes attack. I don't think they do. It was nice to get to run. Hopefully that happens a couple more times this week.
